Favourite thing about Ignite Dance Academy:

The supportive teachers and the friendly, family-like atmosphere. It's an amazing place to learn due to everyone pushing and encouraging each other and working together.

 

Why do you like to dance?

I like to dance because it allows me to express feelings in an exciting way. It also allows me to meet some amazing people and keep healthy at the same time. Dancing has given me a huge support network of friends who are more of a second family to me.

 

Tell us about yourself:

I've been dancing for 15 years with the help and support of my family, including my two younger brothers, mum and dad. I go to sixth form and study Psychology and English Literature at Keswick School. My favourite food is pizza and my least favourite food is fish. My favourite colour is pink. 

 

What are your aspirations for the future?

I want to get into a dance college and gain a degree in dance and then hopefully perform on stage with a company - ideally Matthew Bourne because I love his choreography.

 

What was it like to audition?

Auditioning was initially a very scary and nerve wracking process, but as I settled in I was actually able to enjoy the new choreography and meeting new people.
